AstroShrine ("we", "our", "us") operates the AstroShrine mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using AstroShrine, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following categories of third parties solely to operate the App:

Astrologers you book sessions with can see your display name, profile picture, and the messages or questions you send during a session. They do not have access to your phone number, email, wallet balance, or birth details unless you share them in chat.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase managed PostgreSQL)
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant); we never store card details
- Admin access to data is restricted and logged in an audit trail
- We use JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for authentication with automatic expiry and refresh
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Birth chart data: Retained as long as your account is active (needed for AI readings)
- Chat messages: Retained for the duration of your account for consultation history
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- AI conversation history: Retained as long as your account is active; you can delete individual sessions
- Push notification tokens: Automatically deactivated on logout; stale tokens cleaned on delivery failure
- Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days (see our Data Deletion page)
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data (viewable in your app profile and consultation history)
- Correct your personal data (editable in your profile settings)
- Delete your account and associated data (see Data Deletion)
- Withdraw consent for notifications (adjustable in notification preferences)
- Object to data processing (contact us at the email below)
8. Users Outside India
AstroShrine is operated by AstroShrine Private Limited, Raipur, India, and is available to users in other countries. If you use the App from outside India:
- Where your data goes: your information is processed by us in India and stored with our cloud and service providers (such as Supabase, Razorpay, Google and our SMS and notification providers), whose servers may be located in India or other countries. We use providers that protect data with encryption and contractual safeguards.
- Why we process it: to provide the services you ask for (your account, consultations, readings and payments), with your consent (for example birth details, photos for face or palm reading, and notifications), to meet legal obligations (such as tax and payment records), and for our legitimate interest in keeping the App safe and improving it.
- Payments: prices are shown and charged in Indian Rupees (INR). Your bank or card issuer converts the amount into your currency and may charge its own conversion or foreign-transaction fees.
- Sign-in: phone-number sign-in is available for Indian (+91) numbers; users in other countries sign in with Google.
- Your additional rights: depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, USA), you may also have the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell your personal information.

9. Children's Privacy
AstroShrine is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or under the minimum age for consent to online services in your country (16 in some countries) if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
