1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the AstroShrine Compass Android app (the "App"), published by AstroShrine Private Limited, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India ("AstroShrine", "we"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The App
The App is a free, offline digital compass. It shows the direction your phone is pointing (Magnetic or True North), the MahaVastu zones and directions with their traditional meanings, a Vastu check of a floor plan you provide, and the MahaVastu Analyser (45-devta Vastu Purusha Mandala) with a printable report. No account is needed. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.
3. Compass Accuracy
- Readings come from your phone's sensors and can be affected by calibration, nearby metal, magnets, electrical wiring, appliances, vehicles and the phone's case or cover.
- Follow the App's calibration and "move away from metal" prompts, keep the phone flat, and confirm important readings at more than one spot.
- Do not use the App for navigation, aviation, marine, mining, surveying, safety-critical or emergency purposes. It is not a certified instrument.
- True North uses a standard geomagnetic model for your location and today's date; local magnetic anomalies are not included.
4. Vastu Disclaimer
- Zone meanings, verdicts, scores and remedies are traditional Vastu guidance, generated on your phone from fixed rules. They are not engineering, architectural, structural, legal, medical or financial advice, and are not a guarantee of any result.
- Results depend on the accuracy of the plan you provide, the boundary and centre you mark and the compass reading you take.
- Do not make structural or construction changes based on the App alone. Consult a qualified engineer or architect, and for a detailed reading, an AstroShrine Vastu expert.
- A report printed from the MahaVastu Analyser is a record of your own inputs; it is not a certificate issued by AstroShrine.
5. Acceptable Use
- Use the App only for lawful, personal or professional Vastu purposes.
- Upload only plans and photos you have the right to use, and do not include other people's personal details in a report without their consent.
- Do not copy, modify, decompile, resell or redistribute the App, or remove AstroShrine branding from its reports.
6. Your Data
The App works offline. Readings, plan checks and MahaVastu projects stay on your phone, and you are responsible for keeping copies you need. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes them permanently; we hold no copy and cannot restore them. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
- The AstroShrine name, sun logo, App design, Vastu content, rule tables, MahaVastu Analyser and report layouts are the property of AstroShrine Private Limited.
- The App bundles the Noto Serif Devanagari, Noto Sans Devanagari and LINE Seed JP fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and is built with open-source software including React Native (MIT licence).
- You keep ownership of the plans and notes you enter.
8. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, AstroShrine is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including decisions, purchases or construction based on its readings, verdicts or reports, inaccurate sensor readings, or loss of data stored on your phone. As the App is free, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed INR 1,000.
9. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms. The "Last updated" date above will change; continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.
