Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

AstroShrine Private Limited ("AstroShrine", "we", "us"), Raipur, Chhattisgarh (DPIIT DIPP284892), is the data fiduciary for the AstroShrine Kundli app ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the App processes, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It covers the Panchang app only; the main AstroShrine app has its own Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

None. We do not buy or receive personal data about you from anyone.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and secure your account
To calculate and display the panchang, muhurat, kundli and matching results
To sync your saved data across your devices
To send reminders and notifications you have enabled
To improve the App using consented, anonymous statistics
To comply with law

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf: Supabase (account and synced data), Railway (calculation server), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), MSG91 (OTP SMS) and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (the city name you type in place search, without any identifier). We may disclose data if required by law. We never share your data with astrologers, advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Storage and Security

Saved kundlis are encrypted on your phone with XChaCha20-Poly1305; the key is held in the Android Keystore / iOS Keychain
All network traffic uses HTTPS
Synced data is protected by row-level security — only your account can read it

6. Data Retention

7. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may access, correct and erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate another person to exercise these rights, and raise a grievance.

Correct your profile: Settings → My account
Withdraw usage-statistics consent: Settings → Privacy
Delete your account and all synced data: Settings → My account → "Delete Panchang data"
Data kept only on the phone is erased by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. A kundli entered for a child is entered by, and under the control of, a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be shown in the App for a fresh acceptance and the "Last updated" date above will change.
